ABSTRACT:
Dysphagia, a difficulty in swallowing often associated with neurological conditions like stroke, was assessed in CVA patients before and after Chin tuck against resistance (CTAR) exercises. A quasi-experimental study with 60 participants (30 experimental and 30 control) was conducted at VIMS Hospital in Salem. Results indicated significant improvement in swallowing ability in the experimental group, with mean dysphagia scores rising from 9.996 to 12.1 post-exercise (p< 0.05). In contrast, the control group showed negligible change in scores. The study concluded that CTAR effectively enhances swallowing ability in dysphagia among CVA patients.
